FREE EDUCATION – ASSYLUM SEEKERS

Wednesday, December 1st 2010 | Ventura, California, USA

Finding Madiba is finally starting to bloom. After 4 Months of data organization the post-production team have been able to complete the third webisode, IMMIGRATION.

This is the story of 2 Zimbabweans, their love and passion for music, politics and human rights, and their personal struggles to redefine themselves in a foreign land. Their independent journeys collide with their project, FREE EDUCATION.  Standing up for what they believe in, they make countless sacrifices in a foreign land, stoking the fire that will change minds and perspectives.

Free Education is a project that seeks to liberate the masses by changing social and political consciousness all through Education and music. In South Africa particularly, good education is something to be desired, particularly for majority of the population who are still struggling to put food in their mouths, let alone pay school fees.

Free Education is one drop in the massive pond, one small step to spread a message that the struggle for true liberation is still very much alive. Speaking to the pulse of continent, the music is a call to reignite the consciousness that set South Africa free from the shackles of Apartheid 16 years ago. With a message of unity, we are reminded of the sacrifices previous leaders such as Steve Biko, Nelson Mandela and Chris Hani made for all South Africans.

It is with great pride and respect that Finding Madiba presents the third webisode - Immigration. Thank you Free Education. Keep spreading the word.
